Brittany Mahomes is a powerhouse in her own right. The former college and pro soccer player is now the co-owner of the Kansas City Current, a National Women’s Soccer League team that is currently building the world’s first dedicated stadium for a women’s sports team. She’s also a mother of two and wife to Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback who is getting ready to appear in Super Bowl LVIII this weekend.

Now, she can add Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model to her résumé.

Mahomes is also the founder of Brittany Lynne Fitness, which provides self-created online training programs.

“[My personal training journey] all started when I was playing professional soccer over in Iceland,” she told Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. “I didn’t have a ton to do outside of soccer, so I found myself spending a ton of time in the gym working out, creating workouts, and posting them online. I realized that I was enjoying that so much more than actually playing soccer.”

Editor-in-Chief MJ Day celebrated Mahomes’ inclusion as a rookie in the magazine, which comes out this May. She will appear alongside other rookies like Lori Harvey, Penny Lane, Nina Cash, and Sharina Gutierrez

“Brittany Mahomes is your newest 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie! Owner of the Kansas City Current NWSL team, former pro athlete, wife and mother, Brittany emerges as the epitome of a modern-day powerhouse,” MJ Day said. “Founder of the world’s first ever dedicated stadium for women’s sports, Brittany’s journey has surpassed all expectations, inspiring others with her tenacity and unyielding determination. We are proud to welcome her to the SI Swimsuit family where she will undoubtedly continue to empower women worldwide.”
