After testing the waters with Uber-style surge pricing, Wendy’s is calming the controversy by offering an exclusive deal throughout this month and into April.

From now until April 10, customers can grab a $1 Dave’s Single or a $2 Dave’s Double in the Wendy’s app. The deal doesn’t require any additional purchase, but it’s only available to Wendy’s Rewards members in the Wendy’s app. If you haven’t joined Wendy’s Rewards, you can do so here.

In order to claim the deal, open the Wendy’s app and add either a Dave’s Single or Dave’s Double to your cart. Then visit the Wendy’s offers page and add the applicable discount to your order. Only one discounted item is available per order, and customers may only redeem the promotion once.

Wendy’s makes its Dave’s Single burgers with “a quarter-pound of fresh British beef” topped with a slice of “American cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, pickle, Heinz ketchup, Heinz mayo, and onion on a toasted bun just the way Dave intended.” The Dave’s Double is constructed the same way, but with a half-pound of beef rather than just a quarter.

“As the Official Hamburger of March Madness, Wendy’s is giving fans and athletes the quality fresh, never frozen beef that they deserve to keep the energy up through every buzzer beater, layup, and alley-oop,” the chain said in a statement.

“Whether you’re a diehard fan or pick your bracket by team colors, everyone can enjoy Wendy’s best-tasting burgers at a price they feel good about,” they continued, before teasing that “fans should stay tuned for more news on how Wendy’s is getting into the game and championing basketball fandom.”
