Jackfruit belongs to the Moraceae family and is also known as the jack tree. It generally grows in Asia, Africa, and South America. It gets its name from the Malayalam name of this fruit called “Chakka”.

A single jackfruit weighs between 10-25 kgs, and the jackfruit tree can bear up to 150 fruits per year. Furthermore, if the tree is old, it can bear up to 500 fruits per year.
