Reggie Bush made headlines last week when his Heisman Trophy was formally returned to him after more than a decade. This week, he’s making waves in a different sport. The former NFL running back just dropped an eight-piece capsule collection with golf brand TravisMathew that Bush says “helps take the thinking out of” looking your best on the links.

“When I play golf, a lot of guys I see have no style, they have no fashion sense,” Bush explained. “They mix and match with the wrong colors or it’s that old traditional khaki look…I’ve always felt you’ve gotta look good to play good, and those two things should go hand-in-hand.”

The new collection finds a way to make neutral colors exciting, with a strong “home and away” duo of matte green and brown tones. It includes classics like polo shirts and 7.5-inch shorts with some trendier pieces, like a quilted hooded jacket and a pair of clean joggers that TravisMathew CEO Ryan Ellis notes he’s “excited” about.

“It’s a great surprise for our current customer,” Ellis says. “We want to get them out of their comfort zone a little bit and say, ‘Hey, you have the license to wear this a different way than you’ve been wearing it.'”

Bush, who says he’s a “very competitive” golfer these days, has been a brand ambassador for TravisMathew for just under a year. But this collection has been on his mind from the beginning.

“One of the things that we’ve been able to create are sets,” Bush notes, of the two primary colors he chose for the drop. “You can make outfits with a shirt that matches with the pants and shorts and also use other pieces that match that same outfit, so you can mix and match.”

Though Bush admits his favorite color is burgundy, one he wore during his time at USC, it doesn’t show up in the collection. Despite that, he says there’s “absolutely” a chance we could see it in the future.

The entire Reggie Bush Collection is now live on, and these are some of our favorites.

“It’s more like a windbreaker-style jacket,” Bush says. “Light material but flexible, and something I’d wear on the golf course in the morning when it’s cold or even just dropping my kids off.” TravisMathew’s eye for golf lifestyle clothing and Bush’s experience with training combine to create what Bush describes as “golf-leisure”—a style of clothing Ellis agrees is “even more versatile than athleisure.” This quarter-zip is the perfect example, with a club-appropriate look and a feeling that’ll make you want to spend the rest of the day in it.

“We hadn’t ever officially done a jogger…we just came out with one basically at the same time that was a little bit inspired by him,” Ellis says. “He’s got two joggers with an exceptional fit. It’s our Wanderlust fabric that’s super-soft and -comfy but also very active.” Joggers aren’t seen too frequently on the green, but this five-pocket pair makes a great case for doing so.

“I think a golf shirt is one of the most versatile pieces you can wear,” Bush says. “You can wear it anywhere—on a date, to work, grocery shopping, etc.” That’s true for the Warmer Tides Scoop Polo, as well. With its updated silhouette, it can go from tucked-in sinking a putt to untucked and ready-to-party and look crisp the whole time. It also has built-in collar stays, so no more droopy points.

Bush says his vision for this collection was all about “making it simple,” and there’s nothing that makes getting dressed easier than a jacket that looks great with everything. With its complementary charcoal and tan colors, this zip hoodie is the answer to getting out the door in the morning, regardless of your outfit. It’ll work with any color pants, whether they’re jeans, trousers, or sweats, and reminds people that you’re the best-dressed one in the room.
