Sydney Sweeney Dazzles in Two-Piece Outfit for Magazine Cover
Sydney Sweeney is about to make her first turn as a big-screen leading lady in her new romantic comedy Anyone But You, which opens this Friday. To promote the film, the 26-year-old appears on the cover of Marie Claire, showing off her stunning figure in a range of two-pieces and slinky dresses.
“Thank you [Marie Claire Australia] for letting me embrace my inner goof ball,” Sweeney captioned the photoshoot, which she posted to Instagram this week. In the spread, the actress appears in a red, button-down cut-out shirt and high-waisted black bikini bottoms, a matching white sporty bikini set, and a black mini dress with chunky gold buttons paired with black knee-high boots, among other looks.
Sweeney made a name for herself in career-turning roles such as Netflix’s Everything Sucks!, HBO’s critically acclaimed The White Lotus, and the provocative teen drama Euphoria—the latter two earning her Emmy nominations. But as she explained to the publication, her real-life persona couldn’t have been more different than the characters she’s played on-screen.
“I did all my homework. I was valedictorian. I got straight As,” she said of her own teen years. “I was friends with everyone but also a little quiet. I’ve never been to a high school party. I was just kind of a homebody and hung out with my friends … I was always the designated driver. So if they needed me to …. I would come pick them up from a party to take them home and then take care of them at home.”
“I didn’t really have a crazy high school experience,” Sweeney added. “Instead I live a lot of those traumatic high school experiences through my characters.”
