Is the most magical place on earth also the stinkiest? After a few Reddit posts went viral from Disney Parks guests claiming to have seen other guests dropping trou right in line to do their filthy business, some people who say they’re cast members have come forward to confirm the behavior.

In one post from a couple months back, a Reddit user claimed to have witnessed “someone let their kid take a dump on the floor” in the line for the popular Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction and then walk away, leaving the mess behind. It wasn’t long before a cast member who was actually working that day to chime in to substantiate.

“This actually happened,” wrote the anonymous employee. “Fun fact: this was one of 3 shit-related incidents at Rise today. Less fun fact: I was here for all 3 of them.”

Another recent post in the Walt Disney World subreddit opened quite the can of worms by asking what was the “most disturbing thing” visitors have seen at Disney hotels or parks. And yet another alleged former employee did not mince words when reminiscing about their time as Disney, referring to something the cast colorfully nicknamed “the poop hall.”

“I have seen a lot. Bodily fluids no longer bother me after working at Disney. Let’s just say that the attraction I work at has what the cast ended up dubbing ‘the poop hall’ because of the amount of times guests have gone in there and pooped,” they wrote, adding that they eventually installed a camera and even that it didn’t stop it.

When asked what attraction it was, the employee admitted that it was Avatar: Flight of Passage

“Wait, are you saying that instead of just exiting a line to get to the bathroom people just shit their pants or the floor???” asked another user, incredulously, to which the former employee responded: “Exactly that. People are gross.”

However, this disturbing phenomenon is sadly nothing new. As SF Gate points out, in a 2015 book called Cleaning the Kingdom: Insider Tales of Keeping Walt’s Dream Spotless, two former Disneyland custodial team workers who worked at the park primarily in the ’90s and early 2000s shared their experiences. According to authors Ken Pellman and Lynn Barron, they even had a “Code H,” which originally was a signal to clean up after one of the horses pulling a vehicle down Main Street.

But eventually, it became used for cleaning up messes that were left by those with two legs, as Pellman recalled one particularly gruesome incident that occurred at Indiana Jones Adventure.

“There’s a pair of individual-use restrooms just backstage from the north unload,” he wrote. “It was mainly for cast members, but guests could and did use it. A woman who did not know this burst into the control room for the attraction and deposited her gift right there. … It must have been challenging for the ride operator to stay at their post in there before it was all cleaned up!”

To make matters even worse, not only is it disgusting and inconsiderate to poop in line at Disney Parks, but also totally unnecessary. As several guests and cast members have pointed out in the Reddit threads, those experiencing an emergency can have a cast member help them find the nearest bathroom and then help escort them back to their place in line, no harm no foul.

And trust them, as they would undoubtedly prefer that to the alternative.
