Indiana-born golfer Adam Schenk made a rather magnificent shot on the first day of play during The American Express at Pete Dye Stadium Course, dunking his second shot into a spectator’s drinking cup.

The shot pinged off superfan Brad Harmeyer’s chest and dunked cleanly into his beverage, reportedly a vodka and cranberry juice, according to the PGA Tour. Harmeyer was so thrilled about the shot, he was caught on camera taking a massive gulp from the drink with the golf ball bobbing on the surface.

That one’s in the drink. ??

Immediately after his ball invaded Harmeyer’s cup, Schenk rebounded and made a rather stunning birdie putt from 10 feet out. “I owe you a drink!” Schenk good-naturedly told Harmeyer after the play, before apologizing to the spectator.

“You have nothing to be sorry about,” Harmeyer reassured the player.

Schenk’s wife, Kourtney, also got in on the fun. She posted a photo of Harmeyer’s cup with Schenk’s ball floating at the top. “Good birdie from here, Adam,” her caption read.

Schenk ultimately ended the day tied for 98th at 2-under after he shot into the water hazard on the 17th hole. He finished eight strokes behind leaders Zach Johnson and Alex Soren.

There’s no word yet on whether he’s bought Harmeyer that drink, but it’s safe to say it’s a memory the two men will share forever.
