Mark Wahlberg Shares Motivational Year-End Workout With Fans

Mark Wahlberg hopped on Instagram to share a motivational year-end workout with fans. The Family Plan star shared a montage in which he executes a litany of exercises.

Wahlberg is decked out in swag for his activewear company, Municipal, for the entirety of his workout, including matching shirt and socks embossed with the brand’s name. He also tagged his active nutrition company, Performance Inspired. “Let’s go ??,” the caption reads. “This year is almost over. Time to get it in.”

Wahlberg begins the montage by doing a roll-training abdominal exercise before segueing into several core and back workouts. He then strengthens his sinewy calves using a leg squat, as the camera zooms in on his calf muscles. The Max Payne star finishes with some intensive upper arm workouts, including some old-fashioned dumbbells.

Fans poured into the comments to praise Wahlberg’s form and physique. “Health is wealth!” user @wggraffix wrote. “You are my inspiration,” wrote @jowvytor_.

“My handsome idol,” wrote one adoring commenter alongside a heart-eyed emoji.

But not everyone was feeling the burn. “I’m watching this while I eat cookie bark,” @shimshah8 wrote. “Whatever, will workout tomorrow.”

Although Wahlberg has long been admired for his fierce commitment to intense workouts, the star recently revealed that he’s scaling back his breathless fitness regimen. “I just, you know, get more and more injuries and [am] not recovering the way I should,” he told Fox News in November. “There’s no reason why anybody, never mind somebody at 52 years old, needs to be training, seven days a week and then doing two a days. You’re just putting a pounding on your body and recovery.”

Wahlberg recently moved his family to Las Vegas and has been trying to make more time for his kids and his faith in between film roles, which included accompanying his daughter to a frat party. However, the avid golfer still makes time for a few games every day.

He’s currently starring opposite Mission: Impossible star Michelle Monaghan in Apple’s action-comedy The Family Plan.
