Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi revealed that he ate a pound of bacon each day while playing Elvis in Sofia Coppola’s biopic Priscilla.

Elordi and Coppola appeared on EW’s Around the Table alongside Cailee Spaeny, who plays Priscilla Presley in the recently released film. Speaking about the various intricacies each actor dove into the play their roles, Coppola revealed that Elvis had a very peculiar preference for breakfast meat.

“Priscilla told us Elvis liked really burnt bacon,” the director said.

Elordi admitted to taking a method-acting approach in that regard. “I ate a lot of bacon. I averaged like a pound of bacon a day,” he said. “It’s not that noticeable ‘cause I’m quite long. But I was the biggest I’ve ever been.”

Coppola also shed some light on why Elvis loved peanut butter and banana sandwiches so much. According to the Lost In Translation director, who worked closely with Priscilla Presley to construct her latest film, those were all they ate in their lean years. After Elvis went on to achieve phenomenal success, he continued to crave peanut butter and bananas because it reminded him of his childhood.

It’s unclear how many peanut butter and banana sandwiches Elordi ate each day.

Priscilla, based upon Priscilla Presley’s memoir Elvis and Me, charts the famed couple’s tumultuous relationship from their meeting in Priscilla’s teenage years until Elvis’ death in 1977. The picture serves as both a companion and antithesis to Elvis, Baz Luhrmann’s 2021 biopic which chronicled many of the same events through the musician’s eyes.
