Cristiano Ronaldo Drops $160K on Porsche and Rolex Gifts
As 2023’s highest-paid athlete in the world, it’s safe to say Cristiano Ronaldo is enjoying the fruits of his labor. The Portuguese soccer star brought in an estimated $136 million last year alone according to Forbes, and he wanted to share his success with his loved ones this holiday season.
Ronaldo’s mother celebrated her birthday on Dec. 31. The footballer marked the occasion by buying her a Porsche Cayenne SUV for her special day. A 2024 base model starts at $79,200, while the faster and more powerful Cayenne S model fetches a minimum of $95,700.
“I know she’s happy because her son remembers her and not because of the cost of the present,” he captioned a video of her reaction. “Honor your father and your mother and your time on earth will be long.”

Ronaldo’s mom isn’t the only one who got a gift in commemoration of her birthday. Brazilian singer Luan Santana attended her birthday party, which delighted the Al-Nassr FC forward. Ronaldo showed his gratitude by gifting Santana a Rolex watch estimated to be worth north of $82,000.
“You didn’t do that, no. For God’s sake, man,” Santana said in disbelief when presented with the pricey present. “You know this is my first, right? My first Rolex. What a moment!”

Ronaldo, meanwhile, is spending the new year preparing to hit the field with Al-Nassr once again. On Feb. 1, he’ll come face-to-face with longtime rival and fellow soccer great Lionel Messi of the MLS’ Inter Miami at the upcoming Riyadh Cup.
